About Kevin Sebastiao
About the Author
Kevin Sebastiao often wonders how many other writers had to Google “How to write an About The Author section.” He also doesn’t usually write about himself in the third person, but figures it makes things sound a little more professional.
If you’re looking for Kevin’s credentials, it’s a short list: he has none. Well, he took a creative writing class in college, but that’s not much to write home about. To Kevin, writing is just a means of emptying out his head of the stories that bounce around in there like a 90’s screensaver.
If you’re still reading at this point, it probably means you don’t hate the words he writes, so you should go ahead and buy one of his books.
Kevin’s Story
Kevin grew up in rural Quebec and his nearest neighbour was a horse. “Neigh-bour,” get it? If you’re here for the comedy, that’s about the best you can expect.
For as long as he’s lived, Kevin has told stories. Before he even knew the meaning of the word “narrative” he’d ramble incessantly to anyone who would listen about silly characters and nonsensical adventures. Some might say that his stories haven’t grown any more “sensical” since he was a child, and he’d be hard pressed to disagree.
Throughout his life Kevin would devour any book he could find with a dragon or a wizard on the cover. The strange worlds of fantasy and science fiction have shaped his mind into one that isn’t much good for anything aside from daydreaming, so he calls himself an author and hopes nobody will notice he has no idea what he’s doing.
He’s a globe-traveling raconteur; a man of passion and grace; a patron of the arts; a connoisseur of fancy cheeses; an appreciator of self-delusion. Really, the exact kind of man who should not be allowed to write his own biography.
